Journalists

If you are a journalist and support broadcasting or technical personnel (regularly employed in that capacity by a news reporting organization), you may travel to Cuba for journalistic activities with a license.

If you are a journalist with a suitable record of publication and want to travel to Cuba to do research for free-lance journalistic projects, you will have to apply for a license. Licenses authorizing transactions for multiple trips over an extended period of time are available for applicants demonstrating a significant record of journalism.
